Tom and Simone Hickey originally founded Perfect Day Surf School back in the summer of 1998. Back then there were no surf schools in Sligo and only a small community of surfers. For the last 14 years they have developed the reputation for being one of the safest and most progressive surf schools in Ireland.

The 20th annual Strandhill Show and Craft Fair takes place on Sunday 25th June 2017 at Lisheen, Strandhill, Co Sligo. The Gymkhana remains the mainstay of the show, however, there will be the ever popular craft fair and a huge range of fun events on the day with the emphasis on a great family day out. A fun pet show, bouncy castles, farm task and a cookery demonstration by TV Chef Joe Shannon are just a few of the wonderful events taking place on the day.
